POSITION SUMMARY:
The Heil Technical Training Specialist is responsible for training Key Accounts, end-customers and dealer technicians in the proper operation and maintenance of products within the ESG portfolio. Execution of the training strategy, continuous improvement of training methods, assessment of training outcomes, and revenue generation are key required activities. With a primary focus on Heil products, the incumbent will have additional opportunities for training within the 3rd Eye, Marathon, and Connected Collections product lines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
Develop, deliver, and assess technical training courses:
- Maintain awareness of changes to the product portfolio and ensure that training remains up to date to support technicians from product launch throughout the product’s lifecycle.
- Use multiple training delivery formats to include live classroom, live webinar, Learning Management System (LMS), Service Shack/YouTube videos, etc.
- Contribute to curriculum development activities including training creation, review, approval, and periodic re-evaluation of course content.
- Continuously improve training using innovative methods based upon student and customer feedback.
- Be able to manage all aspects of onsite training including organizing material, setting up and taking down of the classroom.
- Employ principles of Adult Learning in training delivery.
- Maintain training and certification records using Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, HR Central, Salesforce or similar tools.
- Participate in Marketing-led events such as trade shows, promotional videos, and road show events with up to 80% travel.
Revenue Generation:
- Meet Nexteligence revenue goals established for training, where applicable, promoting current and newly identified training products.
- Recommend pricing and discount strategies when appropriate.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent industry technical training and experience are required.
- Refuse industry technical experience with truck chassis and/or body is highly desired.
- Must be an excellent training facilitator with above average analytical skills, people skills, and outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Must demonstrate the highest ethical and dedicated work standards, delivering results with a sense of ownership and urgency within a cooperative team-based environment.
