The VP Operations and Supply Chain is based in the company’s HQ in Geneva, Switzerland and covers all Operating Companies in the Dover Imaging and Identification Group, notably Markem-Imaje, Solaris Laser, JK Inks, MS Printing and any future acquisitions. The position will report directly to the President / Chief Executive Officer and is an integral part of the company’s management team with collective responsibility for meeting organizational, customer and shareholder obligations.

This role is responsible for the entire Dover Imaging and Identification Group’s Supply Chain strategy and operation including advanced manufacturing engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, global demand management, logistics and EH&S along with an oversight role of our Global Quality team. 

 

 

Scope and Responsibilities:

 

The role is accountable for:

 

  • Developing, maintaining and communicating a best in class Supply Chain strategy derived from, supportive of and consistent with the company financial and strategic goals.
  • Execution of advanced manufacturing and production strategy that supports a customer focused approach to deliver a low volume, high variant portfolio of industrial products and software/SaaS.
  • Develop and execute the industrial and manufacturing footprint optimization strategy
  • Delivery of products to customers within SLA
  • Close collaboration with commercial operations and product divisions to deploy and manage a best-in-class SOIP process.
  • Collaboration with Product Divisions to ensure new product designs support company goals and advanced manufacturing and production strategy.
  • Ensuring a best-in-class Global Sourcing strategy including contract manufacturing, commodity, and supplier/partner selection and life cycle management
  • Promote and develop Operational Excellence and deployment of the Dover Lean enterprise system
  • The effective management and achievement of all EHS KPI’s as well as supporting initiative and key improvement projects
  • The effective management of the QMS and improvement initiatives related to the development and improvement of critical company processes.
  • Execution of the industrialization of all new products and discontinuation of phased out products consistent with the Product Roadmaps managed by our Product and Engineering teams.
  • Ensure team cohesiveness: team members with high levels of trust and open debate, who are highly accountable and committed to team results

 

 

Experience:

 

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years in operations management in the Diversified Manufacturing industry or a similar environment
  • Deep and broad experience in industrial B2B Supply Chain and Operations on international l level
  • Strong organization leadership of a diverse international and distributed workforce
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Direct accountability for key elements of the corporate P&L
  • History of significant organizational change and growth
  • Fluent in English, another language is a plus
