Dover Precision Components is seeking an individual who is aspiring to, or embarking on, a career in HR and looking to gain exprience of working in an operational HR environment.

 

Your Responsibilities

In this role you will assist the Human Resources Generalist in ensuring Dover Precision Components remain GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliant.  

In doing so, you can expect to be carrying out the following types of activities: 
•    Audit and cleansing of employee files in line with our data retention schedule 
•   Transitioning storage of employee files from paper to electronic format 
•   Development and implementation of internal processes to ensure efficient ongoing adherence to GDPR principles 


About you

If you are an ambitious individual with innate attention to detail, who is keen to gain experience of Human Resources in practice, this would be a great opportunity for you. 

In order to get the most from this opportunity, you will ideally already be studying an HR qualification with an interest in supplementing this with practical experience. 

Whilst no previous experience of working in an HR position is required, some foundational knowledge of GDPR, gained through self-study and research is desirable. 

 

In summary

•    This is a fixed term opportunity anticipated to be for a period of 3-4 months.
•    You will come to the position with an awareness and general understanding of GDPR.
•    You will spend your time partnering with our HR Generalist to audit and cleanse our employee files, whilst modernising the storage of employee data to allow for more efficient ongoing adherence to GDPR principles. 
•    Through doing so you will gain valuable practical HR experience to supplement your studies.
