This position will lead our business opportunity development within the wind market and therefore require a thorough understanding of industry and customer needs to guide and direct development efforts. This role will establish and develop relationships with key potential customers, developers, suppliers and policy influencers etc. to advance the adoption and sale of fluid film bearing technology into the wind power space, globally. 

 

Responsibilities:

o    Develop key accounts (globally) and secure fluid film business opportunities within the wind power market
o    Develop industry connections and identify key organizations, events, standards bodies and build our companies presence and influence in the space, both offshore and on-shore
o    Identify and develop relationships with development partners
o    Provide voice of customer to engineering and development teams to direct development efforts
o    Develop value proposition for OEMs and end users
o    Guide and develop marketing initiatives
o    Facilitate developed key accounts handoffs to key account managers
o    Coordinate product strategies with product manager, sales director, business unit leadership and executive leadership
o    Develop, coordinate and execute a commercial strategy for wind
o    Monitor and report on market conditions, competition and trends, identifying opportunities for entry
o    Develop business cases and quotes for proposed business opportunities

o    An understanding of manufacturing and supply chain environments


Qualifications & Experience:
o    Wind industry experience essential
o    An established network within the wind market, EPC’s regulatory bodies and OEM’s in this space.
o    Familiarity with Wind Turbine OEM approval processes
o    Advanced level of commercial management and negotiation experience
o    Experience of sales, business development and key account management
o    Education: Degree Level in Mechanical Engineering / Business Management
o    Bearings experience, with some knowledge of application engineering
o    Willing to travel internationally, 40% or greater possible (as needed)
