Position Summary:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Writer to join our ecommerce team. This role is responsible for creating compelling, accurate, and SEO-optimized content for our industrial ecommerce website. You will play a key role in attracting and engaging our target B2B audience (engineers, procurement specialists, MRO professionals) by developing high-quality product descriptions, category pages, blog articles, buying guides, case studies, and other marketing materials that drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Research, write, and edit clear, concise, and engaging product descriptions that highlight technical specifications, features, and benefits relevant to industrial pump buyers.
• Develop informative and keyword-rich content for category pages to improve SEO ranking and user navigation.
• Create valuable long-form content, including blog posts, articles, technical guides, and case studies, addressing the needs and challenges of our industrial customer base.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and marketing specialists to gather information and ensure technical accuracy and product positioning.
• Implement SEO best practices in all content creation (keyword research, on-page optimization, internal linking) to increase organic visibility.
• Adapt content for various channels, including the website, email marketing campaigns, social media, and sales collateral.
• Maintain and update existing website content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
• Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and style standards.
• Utilize our Content Management System (CMS) – AEM, ISH, Sitefinity, to publish and manage website content.
• Analyze content performance using analytics tools (Google Analytics) and use insights to inform future content strategy.
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional writing experience, preferably focused on B2B, technical, or ecommerce content.
• Proven ability to write clear, concise, and compelling copies for a technical or industrial audience.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices for web content.
• Experience writing product descriptions and other conversion-focused ecommerce content.
• Excellent research, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and translate complex technical information into accessible content.
• Experience using Content Management Systems (CMS) (e.g., WordPress, Magento, Shopify, AEM).
• Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Keyword Planner, BrightEdge) is a plus.
• Portfolio of relevant writing samples required.
