Position Summary:

Assemble and test pumps as assigned in an efficient manner, paying close attention to overall performance tests.  Maintain proper torque specifications throughout assembly process to insure high quality; functional products are produced.  Works to increase departmental efficiencies and meets or exceeds scheduling demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of all company policies, procedures, safety standards and production requirements. Ability to communicate effectively within and outside the department.  Ability to troubleshoot problems during testing.  Must know all phases of pump assembly, subassembly, and test procedures. Ability to operate a computer, hand tools, preset torque tools, manual tools, and testing tools. Ability to operate lift assisting devices as needed.

 

  • Assembles assigned product to conform to blueprint and testing specifications as appropriate; complies with all quality assurance procedures and policies at all times to ensure best quality product output.
  • Acknowledges priority and shipping functions.
  • Responsible for efficiency testing of product to ensure product performs to company specifications which include: overall visual inspection of product for proper assembly, proper startup, general operating performance and testing to ensure product does not leak water or air, while communicating any inconsistencies to Supervisor or Team Lead.
  • Promotes teamwork within the assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Responsible for filling out manufacturing orders, tags and production reports.
  • Recognizes and adheres to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Must be knowledgeable of, and comply with the Company's policies and procedures.
  • Performs all duties as assigned by the Assembly Supervisor and Team Lead
  • Must demonstrate commitment to safety & continual improvement of OH&S performance, registered standards, company policy, integrity, ethics and legal compliance.
