Position Summary:  Under general direction and within division policies and procedures, designs, develops and implements test and statistical process control procedures to achieve quality specification for all manufacturing processes.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in an engineering or science field). Alternatively, candidates with 2 or more years of college level training in conjunction with minimum 5 years manufacturing experience may apply.

Experience:   2 years minimum on-the-job experience in engineering certification documentation , manufacturing, or laboratory environment. Must have moderate to high computer competency. Understands basic computer equipment, corporate approved Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and ERP (Oracle, SAP) software.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

Must have knowledge and understanding of ISO Quality standards. Able to perform shop math (trig.) at a minimum.  Possess the ability to interpret blueprints.  Knowledge of ANSI-14.5 1982 and competent in the interpretation of ANSI Y14.5 tolerance

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for adhering to and enforcing all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for performing all the following duties in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Procedures.
  • Design, develops and implements standards for inspection, testing and evaluations.
  • Creatively innovate through design or acquisition any existing quality tools or devices necessary for the process control and implementation of test procedures.
  • Directs employees engaged in measuring and testing products and tabulating data concerning material quality and process reliability.
  • Compiles and develops training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Can interpret and communicates relevant process data, charts, or reports in a timely manner.
  • May develop criteria for acceptable quality levels of purchased supplies and materials including coordination with key vendors to maintain certification.
  • Audits and analyzes process procedures to assure performance to specifications.
  • Champion special quality & improvement projects as assigned by Leadership.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • Primary work hours established, but candidates should expect to cover vacation & off-shifts as needed.

Work Environment: 

The environment is both office and manufacturing. The manufacturing environment is subject to moderate changes in temperature and the employee will be exposed to typical hazards of noise, flying debris, and overhead hazards requiring the use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
