We are currently looking for a Global Program Manager to drive our global platforms projects for Dispenser Engineering, focusing on Hydraulics, Electronics and Alternative Energy platforms.

 

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead day to day activities of small to large sized global programs in the portfolio of Dispensers Engineering

• Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to translate the product vision into project plans within the overall NPD (New Product Development) /PMO framework.

• Drive process discipline and accountability throughout the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of projects.

• Project Communications: Manage the expectations of all stakeholders through transparent and proactive communications.  Develop strategies to ensure status, accomplishments, issues, and risks are communicated clearly. Facilitate effective and efficient forward-looking team meetings.

• Project Monitoring and Control: Track and report project metrics and deliverables through PMO tools.

• Business Acumen:  Understand the business processes enabled by the products supported and contribute to the solution definition.  Clearly communicate all program-level financial commitments to core team members and stakeholders.

• Technical Acumen: Understand the technology concepts used on projects in enough depth to challenge assumptions, estimates, approaches, and risks. Possess general understanding of technical design, implementation, and quality assurance.

• Project Management Thought Leader: Remain on the forefront of emerging industry practices. Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.

• Adaptable: Flexible during times of change. Adjust to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Collaboration: Elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, peers, and other functional teams. Think outside the box to drive to creative solutions when challenges arise.

• Conflict management: Ability to defuse tension among project team, and facilitate constructive discussion to reach resolutions

 

Qualification Requirements:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Must be comfortable presenting to groups

• Strong collaborative and influencing skills

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) required.  Engineering (mechatronics) or related field of study preferred

• Project management certification preferred (PMP, Prince II or equivalent)

• Minimum of 7 years of work experience in program or project management, or a related function working with technology products and/or services.

• Experience managing new product/technology introductions is preferred

• Experience in the retail petroleum or automotive industry is a plus

• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced team environment

• Ability to travel 10 to 15% of the time
