The successful candidate for the Mechanical Engineer position must meet the following expectations:
Essential Responsibilities
- Applies technical knowledge to design custom products for fluid transfer equipment (e.g. Visi-flo, swivels) and terminal layout.
- Provides advanced CAD designs to customer specifications and applicable engineering standards in addition to supporting the manufacturing department.
- Creates detailed designs and layouts of fluid transfer systems to customer specs
- Develops BOM's
- Provides customer support on technical issues.
- Coordinates and communicates with other departments.
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of professional engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSME/BSMET)
- 2 years’ experience using Creo/ProE, Windchill and AutoCAD or comparable software
- This position is based in Hamilton, OH.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with piping design, pressure vessels or fluid transfer equipment.
- Working knowledge of ASME B31.3 and Boiler Pressure Vessel code -Display proficiency using Oracle
- Experience using product configuration software
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong math skills -Experience with equipment design and layouts High level of customer focus and ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times with customers and coworkers. Fully observe Dover’s Code of Ethical Conduct, Employee Handbook “Personal Conduct of Employees” policies and ISO Quality System Standards.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Self-directed, positive and ethical role model able to work with minimal supervision.
