Summary Description: The Project Manager will lead and oversee projects in an ASME B31.3-compliant manufacturing facility. Responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning to execution, ensuring that all activities align with the ASME B31.3 code, safety standards, and company objectives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, quality control, and operations, to deliver projects on time and to the required quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Lead project planning efforts, including ITP creation, timeline creation, VDR ownership, resource coordination, and risk management for projects adhering to ASME B31.3 standards or other customer requirements.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all project activities comply with customer requirements, implementing stringent quality control measures to ensure a high standard of work. Coordinate and schedule testing activities with manufacturing teams and third-party inspectors to meet project timelines and compliance requirements. Lead audits and inspections by providing accurate and well-organized documentation.
- Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, production, etc.) to ensure successful project execution. Act as the primary point of contact between team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Schedule and Risk Management: Maintain project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects. Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including status reports, test results, certifications, quality assurance documentation, and compliance records. Ensure all project records are kept up-to-date and delivered on time.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, potential challenges, and any changes to schedule.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates with at least 10 years of experience in industrial pressure piping field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing facility, with a focus on ASME B31.3, piping, and pressure systems. Experience in project management within the oil and gas, chemical, or industrial manufacturing sectors is a plus.
- Knowledge: Familiarity of ASME B31.3 codes, regulations, and industry standards as well as project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and tools for scheduling and documentation (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat).
Skills:
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
- Certifications: PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent project management certifications are a plus.
