The Vice President of Human Resources will be responsible for designing and executing HR the strategy for OPW. This position will report into the President and partner with the leadership team to enable and execute the people strategy in alignment with the business strategy. This role leads all aspects of OPW’s human resources activities, including strategic direction; talent acquisition; talent management and development; organizational design; succession planning; mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; succession planning; employee relations and total rewards. As a functional leader, the Vice President of Human Resources will also develop and inspire a global team of 27 HR professionals.



  • Lead and develop OPW’s global team of human resources professionals;
  • Develop, deploy and drive human resources strategies, initiatives and services to support OPW’s strategic goal deployment (SGD) and annual operating plan (AOP) objectives in talent acquisition, performance management, learning and skills development, compensation and organizational development;
  • Accountable for providing HR leadership to drive ongoing organizational and business growth by developing close business partnerships with the leadership team as well as building effective HR capability across the region;


  • Actively interface with the leadership teams on their strategic objectives and people priorities, so as to provide relevant and forward-thinking HR solutions to facilitate those objectives
  • Lead the talent review and succession planning processes across OPW;
  • Responsible for the implementation of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives, in collaboration with the Dover Corporate;
  • Manage and continually refine compensation & benefits processes and strategies across business lines that each have unique go-to-market models and sales cycles;
  • Develop, deploy and drive organizational design and strategies for workforce planning, deployment and retention, in order to address current and future expansion needs of the business, while simultaneously ensuring a diverse and globally oriented workforce;
  • Lead HR diligence and integration on merger and acquisition activities;
  • Lead the organization capability planning and execution across OPW;
  • Ensure positive employee impact, relations and engagement with “results and recognition”;
  • Provide human capital and strategic support on acquisitions and divestitures;
  • Drive Dover Corp enterprise initiatives (e.g., ESG) at the operating company level;
  • Provide human capital and strategic support for ongoing operating footprint strategies;



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human or a related field;
  • Ten or more years of progressive human resources experience, with at least three in a leadership role inclusive of all HR functions;
  • A demonstrated track record as a strategic business partner and success driving measurable impact through effective HR strategies and tactics;
  • Ten or more years in a complex manufacturing business;
  • Business acumen and savvy – able to navigate a P&L and understand revenue and cost drivers;
  • Experience managing/leading HR in a multinational/global organization is highly desirable;
  • Experience across the HR M&A lifecycle, from due diligence to integration, is highly desirable;
  • Demonstrated strategic agility – able to think big picture and also understand tactical drivers; able to work across business lines that have their own organizational and people dynamics;
  • Proven success influencing across an organization, without lines of formal authority;
  • Executive presence – seen as a natural leader across all levels of the organization with the confidence to defend points of view amid questioning or resistance;
  • A proven track record developing a high-performing HR team, with the ability to balance accountability and drive for results with team satisfaction and engagement;
  • A proven commitment to the highest levels of ethics and integrity.
