Mechanical Engineer Intern

This internship is slated for a 6-month term beginning in January 2025, 20 hours weekly in our Keene, NH facility with a flexible schedule M-F during normal business hours. 

 

The Role:

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will join a team of talented mechanical engineers engaged in the development of exciting industrial products for inkjet driven late stage marking applications. You will have the opportunity to work in a global environment, collaborating across disciplines, building complex products, from proof of concept to production, across a variety of printing technologies targeted to meet our customers’ needs and the strategic objectives of Markem-Imaje.

 

Job Responsibilties:

  • Primarily perform CAD in support of product design & manufacturing process development
  • Potentially support senior staff in conducting tests of mechanical, electrical, and optical components, subsystems and systems:
  • Set-up, instrument, and collect data using world class data acquisition equipment
  • Document experimental conditions and test results
  • Creatively build simple prototypes and test fixtures
  • Document and communicate results in technical reports and presentations
  • Effectively interact with other members of the technical team to create a safe, fun, and productive work environment

Job Requirements:

  • Actively pursuing Bachelors or technical degree program with concentration in Mechanical Engineering (Sophomore / Junior)
  • 3D solid modeling experience (Creo/Windchill/Solidworks)
  • Experience with fundamental thermal and stress FEA analysis is desired
  • Experience with thermal testing and data acquisition is desired
  • Prior knowledge / experience with inkjet technology is desired
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and new tools
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team-oriented environment
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task
  • Experience with Microsoft office
  • Results oriented, self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction

Work Arrangement : Onsite  

Salary Range : $20.00   - $25.00
