Are you a self-motivated, confident, and enthusiastic Technical Project Manager with the experience and ability to lead product development in a global environment?


In this role you’ll be … an integral part of Markem-Imaje’s Platform development team, accountable for planning, leading, and delivering complex, cross-functional development projects in support of existing products and new product releases.


You’ll have an opportunity to … lead and collaborate with key contributors from multiple functions and company sites to deliver outstanding products that meet our customers’ expectations and support Markem-Imaje’s strategic Platforming objectives.


You should possess … a Bachelor’s degree and practical experience in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, along with significant experience leading large-scale, Agile projects with international teams.


Principal Activities / Duties / Responsibilities:


  • Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams that are accountable for the delivery of technical solutions and products in-line with business priorities, quality, timeline, and cost objectives.
  • Lead global projects through all development phases including specification, design, integration, verification, qualification, field trial, and launch.
  • Lead multiple, concurrent, highly visible projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Employ an Agile mindset in managing change in a very dynamic context.
  • Drive efficiency by ensuring accountability for commitments, removing roadblocks, and coaching team members.
  • Ensure stakeholder requirements are well-understood and that the executed work creates exceptional business value.
  • Lead overall project planning and estimation activities.
  • Effectively plan, manage, and communicate about project budgets.
  • Identify, manage, and ensure mitigation of project risks.
  • Proactively provide leadership to manage dependencies, resolve project-related issues and escalate effectively when additional support is required.
  • Represent projects to stakeholders at all levels via demonstrations, written, and verbal communication, and visual status reporting.
  • Manage partnerships with external service providers as necessary to support project delivery.


Education and/or Experience:


  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading development of complex, electronic / mechanical / embedded software systems
  • Experience leading large-scale, international project teams
  • Experience building and leading highly collaborative teams and promoting teamwork
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team as well as an individual
  • Formal project management and Agile training preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience preferred
  • Several years of experience as a practicing engineer preferred
