Are you an experienced FP&A Manager, hands on, result oriented, and looking for a new professional challenge in a global company?

 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for… driving stronger focus on Commercial Operations USAsupporting North American Regional Operational Excellence, influencing, and advising local management on sound financial decisions.

 

You’ll have the opportunity to… be key contributor of the North American Leadership team, and serve as an important contributor to short-term initiatives, as well as the long-term strategic direction of Commercial operations by using sound financial assessments and analysis to influence decisions. This role is an integral part of the management team and will provide forecasting and transparency on the progress on the company’s annual operating plans and investments.

 

You should possess 6-10 years’ experience in FP&A roles in fast paced industrial companies, with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and expense management. Industrial and Distribution type company experience is a plus.

Main Activities / Responsibilities:

Develop the operating and financial plan (AOP/Budget) required to achieve management’s strategic plan.

•Lead the rolling forecast process for geography of responsibility, engaging with senior management and cross-functional teams.

Conduct variance analysis to provide transparency to management on how actual performance compares against forecasts, and budget.

Advise management on decisions such as how to improve performance, minimize risk, or capture new opportunities from both within the company and within the external environment. Prepare materials and lead discussions for financial portions of review meeting, including:

  • Analysis of historic financials
  • Variance explanations
  • Update forecasts with risks and opportunities to current plan
  • Provide Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to Management Team

Other areas of responsibility:

  • Market Research: Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team
  • Using BI Tools to deliver meaningful insights into business performance
  • Provide Management with detailed analysis, and commentary, on cost center results
  • Prepare business cases to support new investments, strategic, and other business decisions

 

Experience & General Skills:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience is required.

6-10 years of experience in FP&A role in an industrial and/or distribution type industry.

•Positive attitude and strong team player with eagerness to learn and add value to the organization.

Must possess a strong analytical skillset, including the utilization of BI and reporting tools.

•Highly analytical with attention to detail. Ability to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers.

•Intellectually curious, and able to understand the business with a high level of business acumen.

•Self-starter who will take initiative. Independent in work ethic and thought process, needing little direction.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP system, BW, and Power BI.
