Job Title:        HR Administrative Assistant         

Location:        Keosauqua, IA             

 

 

What we are looking for:

 

We are looking for a temporary Human Resources Administrative Assistant who will play a key support role for the human resource function. This individual will perform routine administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, preparing and posting communications, scheduling appointments, assisting with recruiting efforts, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, and handles a variety of front desk receptionist duties.

 

Essential Competencies:

 

For assigned client groups:

 

  • Serve as the first point of contact for outside guests, agencies and vendors
  • Manage front desk phones and walk-ins as needed
  • Order office supplies, equipment and company merchandise as needed
  • Be a trusted employee advocate for front line employees
  • Provide customer service to employees on a variety of issues (e.g. timekeeping, benefits, employment verifications, company events, internal job opportunities, etc…)
  • Administrator for all employment changes in HRIS system
  • Assist with new hire onboarding. This includes ensuring pre-employment screenings are complete, candidates are fully on boarded in HRIS system prior to start dates, entering new hire information in timekeeping and payroll systems, and scheduling and/or conducting new hire orientations
  • Assist with recruiting efforts
  • Assist supervisors/managers with weekly timekeeping edits
  • Post internal and external job opportunities both electronically and on job boards
  • Assist in administering company reward and recognition programs
  • Provide analytical reporting data to HR Leaders on a monthly basis
  • Maintain personnel files and HR databases
  • Pick up and distribute department mail as needed

 

Minimum Quantifiable Competencies:

 

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Must have unrestricted US work authorization.

 

What are the preferred qualifications?

 

  • 1 year of HR experience
  • Knowledge of basic employment laws (i.e. FMLA. EEO, ADA, etc…)
