Job Title:                              Manufacturing Support Technician II

FLSA Status:                       Hourly / Non-Exempt

What we are looking for:

 

This position provides production support for Sheet Metal and Woodshop, creating nested layouts for cutting equipment and offline programs for forming equipment. In addition to production support the position will participate in continuous improvement activities aligning with the businesses annual operating plan.

 

 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

 

  • Produce optimized nested layouts for laser, turret, and CNC router for efficient utilization of equipment.
  • Produce offline programs for press brakes and panel bender.
  • Maintain CAM parts library, ensuring latest revision and optimal tooling paths
  • Work with Sheet Metal and Wood Shop to provide a balanced workload at cutting and forming equipment.
  • Perform data collecting and report out metrics to members of the Operations Team.
  • Provide Continuous Improvement support for all areas of the business.
  • Travel to our Centerville, IA or Keosauqua, IA facility will be required as duties are required

 

What are the basic qualifications?

 

  • High School diploma / GED required
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a Nesting or Offline programming forming equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Possess computer skills beyond a basic level
  • Microsoft Office with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • CAM software experience on any platform.
  • Basic understanding of G-Code language (Sheet Metal Equipment)

  • Computer skills beyond a basic level: Microsoft Office, SolidEdge, SolidWorks and PDF creator
  • Candidate must be a motivated self-starter and possess strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to efficiently schedule one’s own time and activities to establish a course of action for handling multiple jobs and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated understanding the safety standards and quality expectations
  • Demonstrated understanding of raw materials and the manufacturing process
  • SigmaNest or MetaCAM experience given preferential consideration
  • CAD software experience on any platform. Solid Edge or Solid Works given preferential consideration
