Job Title:        Operational Excellence (OpEx) Advanced Manufacturing Leader            

Location:        Keosauqua, IA  

 

What we’re looking for:

 

We are looking for an Operational Excellence (OpEx) Advanced Manufacturing Leader who will be responsible for promoting and facilitating the implementation of the Dover Operational Excellence Model at the assigned manufacturing locations.

 

This includes Special Projects and its associated processes that will lead to Operations and Supply Chain Process Improvements and Optimization.

 

This position will be measured by the successful deployment of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing principles and use of Advanced Statistical Tools throughout the organization to turnaround and/or enhance Operational and Financial Performance at designated facilities.

 

This position will also be responsible for driving Transformational Processes through the diligent use of Operational Excellence Tools and Methodologies.

 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

 

  • Partners with cross-functional teams in value stream mapping and kaizen execution to exceed segment-level lean transformation objectives
  • Properly engage, collaborate and influence all functions to ensure the continuous improvement strategy is understood and is sufficiently supported by the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Provide change management leadership to ensure we achieve and sustain our targeted performance levels.
  • Serves as subject matter expert in providing guidance in lean transformation activities to exceed strategic objectives
  • Exceptional Training, Assessment, Coaching and Influencing skills to successfully deploy Operational Excellence Model and implement from start to finish effective Improvement Action Plans to support facilities as they embark on their Lean Journeys.
  • Ability to engage with Centerville and Keosauqua, IA plants to direct, train and manage all aspects of Operational Excellence.
  • Model, lead and coach people on the culture change necessary to support and sustain Continuous Improvement.
  • Ability to do effective Problem Solving – able to define "Problem Statement", engage, motivate and improve Operations across Manufacturing, Supply Chain and supporting functions.
  • Experience in Value Stream/Process Mapping – Current, Future and Ideal states.
  • Experience in leading and facilitating improvement initiatives in both transactional and non-transactional environments with emphasis in problem solving.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Optimization: Fabrication, Machining, Electronics and Plastic Injection Molding.
  • Data driven, must be able to understand and explain business metrics and performance variance.
  • Competent in Enterprise Resource Planning, Material Requirements Planning and Manufacturing Execution Systems.

 

What are the basic qualifications?

 

  • 10 years of progressive leadership experience including Plant Management and/or Operational Excellence roles in global organizations and multi-site environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering dicipline with a strong technical affinity

 

What are the preferred qualifications?

 

  • MBA desired
  • Lean Manufacturing Certification desired
  • Green Belt or Black Belt Certification desired

  • Demonstrated record of achievement in driving change management across multi-site operation
  • Proficient in reading and understanding business reports, especially ERP and Financial Reports
