POSITION SUMMARY:  

 

We are looking for a Site HR Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing the overall people operations, programs and employee practices of our Krakow, Poland engineering site. As the Site HR Manager, you will work closely with the Poland leadership team, Global Solutions leadership team, and employees to foster a culture of excellence, inclusivity and employee satisfaction.
This role will report directly to the HR Director, Global Solutions Business and dotted line into the site leader for Poland. This role reports into a matrixed organization, working across multiple regions.
 
 
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Site HR Manager will be expected to be responsible for:
 

  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and leaders in the business;
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to employees addressing concerns, conflicts and facilitating a positive work environment;
  • Providing strategic and day-to-day leadership to drive the delivery of the business’ HR plans;
  • Using experience, skills and knowledge of the HR industry to make an impact in key areas such as change management, organizational design, employee engagement and talent analytics;
  • Coaching and mentoring team members;
  • Supporting and guiding line managers across the business on all HR related matters;
  • Ensuring legal compliance by monitoring and implementing local labor law requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings (as necessary);
  • Managing talent and succession planning and conducting exit interviews;
  • Handling employment relations issues such as grievances and employee welfare;
  • Collaborating with other managers in the business, sometimes internationally, to ensure the smooth running of the company from a people perspective;
  • Partnering with senior operational staff including the HR director, to establish and roll-out people-related strategy.
  • Providing detailed HR reports to senior management teams.

 
 
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and creation of job descriptions
  • Create job postings through relevant HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Determine candidate screening and selection criteria with hiring manager
  • Source potential candidates through available channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks)
  • Work with Center of Excellence (CoE) recruiting team to source potential candidates
  • Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details. Review employment applications and background checks;
  • Lead employer branding initiatives;
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events;
  • Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs by department;
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates;
  • Led the onboarding process of the new employee, engaging key stakeholders (hiring manager) in the process.

 

Performance Management

  • In partnership with the global HR team, oversee annual performance management process including goal setting, performance metrics and end of year conversations.
  • Facilitate annual merit process for Poland

 
Training and Development

  • Identify training needs, coordinate training programs and support career development initiatives

 
Payroll and Benefits Administration

  • Overseeing payroll transactions;
  • Answering employee questions about salaries and tax;
  • Staying up to date on state and federal payroll and tax laws;
  • Advising managers on the terms and conditions of employment and sharing best practices
  • Cooperation with Office Manager
  • Recommends employee benefit practices by benchmarking best practices; researching industry and employment trends; tracking legislation and estimating impact;
  • Recommends employee benefit programs by examining, evaluating, and optimizing employee understanding, acceptance, and interests, costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive advantage;
  • Evaluating proposed employee benefit contracts by studying provisions; estimating impact;

 
 
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS


The successful candidate will have strong HR generalist background with experience in a fast-paced, evolving and international business environment.
 

  • Fluent in both Polish and English (working environment is English only)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Communications or related field
  • Proven experience in HR management roles with a focus on building high performing teams, employee relations, talent acquisition and performance management
  • Knowledge of local labor laws and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience in HR generalist role and has a strong understanding of HR functions
  • Previous experience in a matrixed International corporate environment and ability to work independently, remote from other team members
  • Ability to deal well with ambiguity and persevere in an entrepreneurial, hands on environment
  • Experience in IT companies and engineering client groups
  • Analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Proactive in nature
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
