Summary

 

The Production Team Lead is responsible for developing and teaching manufacturing skills such as processes, techniques, customer-specific requirements, and the use of related materials and equipment.  They must work closely with management to develop project plans and coordinate labor and schedules, and oversee assembly and product and sub-assembly testing, ensuring quality and productivity standards and protocols are maintained.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Delegate employees to projects, including planning and directing work to ensure proper completion per production schedule.
  • Maintain proper Tier I Boards and KPI’s
  • This position will be cross trained on all assembly positions and able to fill in as needed
  • This position will be training new hires on the different product lines
  • Report personnel concerns regarding performance, attendance, or policy violations to the direct supervisor for further escalation.
  • Mentor team and provide timely and reasonable feedback aligned with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development as it relates to this job function and future growth within the company.
  • Utilize the ERP system to maintain and track work orders. This position will be leading assembly and testing of electrical/electronic products and sub-assemblies per accepted safety, quality, and productivity standards and protocols.
  • Drive accountability for work area and tools maintenance.
  • Plays a pivotal role in maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Drives accountability and adherence to established safety protocols; drives safety continuous improvement and wearing of proper PPE.
  • Completes all essential duties as well as the applicable paperwork and computer entries on a timely basis.

 

Qualifications

 

Education:  High School education or equivalent.

Experience:  1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Basic understanding of circuit boards, schematic reading and electrical meter skills. Background working with AC/DC voltages.

Other:  Knowledge of MS Office and computer literate.
