Position Summary:   

Quantex has developed a range of novel disposable pumps that find a wide array of uses in Food & Beverage and industrial markets. You will be part of a small team and have a great opportunity to learn about all aspects of a business.  

You will be exposed to a wide range of customers across the globe servicing a wide range of market applications. 

You will be assisting Product Managers, Engineers and Lab Technicians through an aggressively paced R&D programme. You will also support customers that wish to adapt the pump technology for their specific needs. 

  

You must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and diligent towards your work. An understanding of engineering and R&D is essential. A willingness to understand other disciplines including, product assembly, product testing and failure analysis is required.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Support the Engineering Director to deliver new product development programs. 

  • Build & assemble pumps for R&D and customer testing workstreams.  

  • Participate in validation and verification testing of products 

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement of the technology. 

  • Conduct suitability testing of the pumps to support new customer engagements.  

  • Creating report summaries for internal review and presentation to customers. 

  • Participate in experiment design based on outcome objectives 

  • Support internal R&D activity. 

 

Qualifications / Requirements: 

  • Hands-on practical approach  

  • Good working knowledge of electronics and the ability to specify and build electronic test equipment. 

  • Fast learner and at ease in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Proactive person, problem-solver and ability to work independently. 

  • Inquisitive, creative, R&D mindset. 

 

Desired Characteristics: 

  • Experience in Ultrasonic Welding is not required but preferred. 

  • Ideally familiar with using Labview, all MS programmes and at an advanced level in Excel. 

  • Good knowledge of statistical tools and methods to analyse and draw robust conclusions from raw data. 

  • Familiarity with CAD software, Solidworks 

  • Experience in using microscopes to measure parts.
