SUMMARY: Perform a setup, run and assembly of operations in a cleanroom setting to manufacture and qualify Ultra High Purity (UHP) gas lines and manifolds. Support shop manufacturing with TIG welding, by fitting and welding stainless steel manifolds, spools and frames. MUST be able to pass Orbital weld test and manual 6G test.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform orbital welding and TIG welding of stainless-steel tubing, pipe and components
- Working knowledge and understanding of ARC weld machines (power supplies, weld heads and supporting equipment)
- Cutting, facing, prepping, tacking of stainless steel and components
- Create and log weld coupons
- Recommend improvement in quality or production standards to achieve optimum performance
- Read, analyze, and interpret P&ID’s, technical drawings, understand the scope-of-work
- Visually inspect work performed for quality, cosmetics, workmanship and conformance to drawings
- Verify proper revision levels on job routers, BOM’s and drawings
- Lay out, positions, and tack welds work pieces for fit up
- Leak Test capability and experience a plus
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Performs other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- MUST be able to pass Orbital weld test and manual 6G test, ¾” tube, 3/8” tube,2” tube and 2” schedule 40 pipe.
- High degree of orbital welding aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to redline documentation to represent as-built condition
- Ability to lead and train other employees
- Values meaningful, long-standing relationships
- Ability to interpret build to print diagrams and engineering drawings
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform to complex requirements
- Excellent customer service skills, including effective listening

- Flexibility to work overtime, and off-shift hours to support company requirements as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma required
- A minimum 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment as an orbital welder a must, and a least 2 years TIG Welding
SCHEDULE
- 3x12 second shift Monday thru Wednesday
- 4:00 PM Start time
- 4:00 AM End Time
