General Function:    


Responsible for the electrical Design, Issue & Implementation of electrical control systems of all products under the Standard Product umbrella.  Performs diversified electrical machine design of the control systems on new or improvements/adaptations to existing machines with limited supervision.  Assists in the commissioning and verification of machines in Belvac’s Lynchburg Assembly area


Primary Responsibilities:


  • It is every BPM, Inc. Employee’s responsibility to be aware of and work with Belvac’s current documented Quality Management System as it pertains to their job requirements.
  • Value Engineering
  • Creation of  Bills of Materials
  • Evaluate customer specifications and comply with machinery output.
  • Assist in the continuous process improvement of Belvac’s standard product line.
  • Design, Issue & Implementation of electrical control systems for all Standard Product Machinery in accord with NEC, Machinery Code, and other related standards.
  • PLC and HMI programming
  • Other duties as assigned




Must have a BSEE or similar degree in a related field.




Three to five years of experience in Engineering field, preferably in machine manufacturing and controls of high speed machinery.  Specific experience in rotary machinery, or high speed packaging machinery is preferred. Must be proficient in Rockwell Automation Studio5000, FactoryTalk, AutoCAD Electrical, and Microsoft Office. Must have good technical written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of CE (European Safety Standards) is a plus.  Siemen TIA Portal and other PLC programming software proficiency is also desirable.  Must be a hands-on team player.
