General Function:


The Global Training Manager is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
  • Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
  • Conducts annual training and development needs assessment.
  • Subjects overall training program offerings to continuous evaluation.  Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry.
  • Ensures all training is consistent with Belvac culture and objectives.

  • Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, video conferencing, etc..
  • Trains and coaches managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
  • May select and assign instructors to conduct specific training and development.
  • Assesses training materials prepared by instructors.
  • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training. 
    • Creates matrix to evaluate and measure results.
  • Modifies programs as needed.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events.
  • Develops Virtual Reality training tool for customer and employee success (product specific).
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.
  • Collaborates with Functional Managers to coordinate functional group objectives to ensure that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.
  • Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff.
  • Administers spending against the departmental budget.


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or Operational Management.
  • Technical experience required
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs.
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred.
  • Association for Talent Development (ATD) certification preferred.
  • Virtual Reality (VR) Training background desired


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
