General Function:

 

Work with Master Scheduler to maintain schedule on assigned equipment based on changing customer demand and forecast information.  Review, monitor and track shortages for assigned equipment lines.  Manage capacity analysis.  Release and update internal shop orders.  

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate/detailed schedule for assigned equipment
  • Understand capacity constraints by process
  • Understand MRP logic, manufacturing capabilities and limitations, to determine how capacities and lead times are calculated in the business enterprise system.
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Sales to communicate status, shortages, and ship dates
  • Complete and manage capacity analysis, and assess mid to long term capacity risk
  • Work with Sourcing to mitigate capacity issues
  • Release and update internal work orders and react to exception messages
  • Promote continuous improvement methods relative to scheduling/planning

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business or related field.
  • APICS/CPIM certification desired.
  • M.B.A. a plus.
  • Minimum 5-10 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Microsoft Project Super User
  • Organized and detail oriented
