General Function:              

This position has the responsibility to ensure the overall success of the design, engineering, manufacturing and implementation of state of the art, high precision and high speed innovative container manufacturing systems for beer, beverage and other consumer products industries. This will include the coordination of the complete process, like container, tooling & machine design & engineering, prototyping & testing, facility integration, and systems installation and commissioning. Risk & customer management, team leadership, good interpersonal skills, conflict resolution abilities, and strong organizational skills are critical to this role. 

The selected candidate must be readily available to travel domestically or internationally to support the project requirements, including customer meetings and new equipment commissioning.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross functional teams to ensure that tasks are on schedule.  Develop and maintain the appropriate project documentation like meetings notes, project timelines and risk assessments
  • Manage project updates for Belvac Executives to ensure issues are communicated in a timely manner
  • Coordinate activities with suppliers of container preform design and pre-production of samples in order to achieve can specifications and testing requirements
  • Work closely with Belvac NPD and Engineering resources through the container and machine design, engineering, prototyping and testing
  • Coordinate and lead design reviews and internal & customer project meetings
  • Facilitate communication between Customers, Can Line Integration Firms and Belvac, related to system design and installation issues.  This includes all electrical specifications, utility and building requirements, conveyor integration and control systems
  • Coordinate design and drawings approvals with Customers, Suppliers, Belvac Engineering and Systems Integrator
  • Leverage engineering resources to lead the inspection and acceptance of third party equipment
  • Monitor schedules of Machine Manufacturing Operations, including third party parts & equipment procurement, inspection & delivery, parts machining, assembly and testing
  • Coordinate customer pre-shipment testing and approval, as well as delivery, installation and commissioning at the customer’s plant
  • Responsible for PCS platform
  • Monitor and take necessary actions to ensure project costs meet the final approved budget



BS or higher degree in Engineering or Technical related field, or a combination of education and equivalent experience 5-10 years in the area of Machine Design, Systems Integration, Facility Engineering, and Capital Equipment Project Management.




  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to develop concise reports and correspondence, and ability to speak effectively at all levels of the Belvac, System Integrator, and Customer organizations
  • Understanding of automation and high speed manufacturing systems design & engineering
  • This position must be capable of successfully address the daily stress levels of a dynamic business environment
  • Experience in the beverage filling or can manufacturing industry Engineering, Operations, Customer Service and / or Sales is a plus (e.g. can forming processes, tooling and equipment; coating processes; high speed container handling and line control)
  • Project Management: development and maintenance of budget & schedule tracking tools
  • Leading teams through problem solving activities in a constructive and objective way; must have the ability to deal with conflict resolution
  • Coordinate commercial issues with Customer and Sales with respect to freight forwarders and shipping arrangements and invoicing
