Associate Manager - Bio Sales and Business Development role

Job Summary:  Execute strategic account plans for OEM and Specialty Bio Distributor (SBD) channel within the biopharmaceutical market to achieve accelerated growth objectives in a dedicated European region.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute strategy to drive growth through European channel partners with focus on Bio OEM partners and Specialty Bio Distributors
  • Working collaboratively with CPC Bio team to drive execution of the global OEM strategy.
  • Be a technical resource on single use and point person with CPC’s specialty bio distributors and OEM’s.
  • Identify and develop opportunities within current channel partners.
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities, for example CGT market.
  • Drive OEM and SBD validation and adoption for new product introductions.
  • Work collaboratively with CPC Bio Application Specialists on joint validation/specification opportunities between End Users and OEM/SBD customers.
  • Work collaboratively with CPC Bio Management Team on developing and facilitating appropriate business strategies (ex: market and application development, quarterly business reviews, pricing strategies, collaborative planning, sales forecasting, reporting, etc.)
  • Support annual contract management/negotiation and pricing strategy for OEM and SBD customers.
  • Identify and develop new strategic channel partners.
  • Participate in regional industry conference and work groups and support associated CPC initiatives. 
  • Establish and maintain strong key customer relationships.
  • Leverage CRM to manage opportunities, application details and large account management.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations.
  • Demonstrates support of CPC core values.
  • Becomes fully conversant with CPC’s CRM tool to drive efficient communication with the team
  • Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Biology or related business, science or engineering degree (technical degree preferred)
  • 2-5 years working in outside sales, business development or related technical sales experience in the single-use market in Biopharmaceuticals

 

 

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Strong technical skills with a focus on life sciences, biotech, and/or engineering process development.
  • Understanding of the Bioprocess manufacturing process, and how single-use benefits the process.
  • Experience managing fast paced business through multiple channels.
  • Professional self-starter who thrives in working in an autonomous environment.
  • Must have strong time management skills.
  • A solid sales acumen, with the ability to promote “value.”
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer centric mentality.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in German and English, both written and orally.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Solid negotiating skills.
  • Team worker spirit.

 

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain formal programs for large account management.
  • Experience with multiple channel partners, including distribution, OEM and single use system integrators
  • Previous employment at a single-use supplier or a bioprocessing manufacturer who utilized single-use technology.
  • Understanding of GMP and other regulatory requirements.
