Engineering Internship


SUMMARY: This Engineering Intern position will be placed in the product engineering group, which is responsible for the design and specification of vehicle service products such as vehicle lifts and wheel service equipment.  The position will work in conjunction with full-time engineers responsible for new product development and product improvements geared toward innovation and product leadership. 



  • Development and implement test systems for product validation and component qualification and maintain records of product and component testing.
  • Assisting with product testing, requiring hands-on applications.
  • Generate /Modify engineering drawings, and/or processing engineering change orders, utilizing the CO database, PIP, Windchill, CREO
  • Working with other engineers to respond to requests for product improvements and quality concerns.
  • Working with other engineers to evaluate, review and compare competitive products, record, and maintain information.
  • Applies a sense of urgency to resolve problems or create opportunities that will increase productivity and create value.
  • Shares best practices with other employees across the business.
  • Other duties as assigned


The position will focus on the following areas of technical expertise:


  • 3D CAD and Drawing/print modification (Creo 4.0 and Windchill)
  • Test system design for component qualification and quality analysis (Labview)
  • Static load analysis
  • Other areas as needed for projects



  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Preferred junior to senior level standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university the semester prior to the co-op/internship
