This role reports to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for the FP&A function at VSG Madison. This role will lead the company’s forecasting and financial planning including; annual budgeting process, monthly and quarterly analysis and special projects. A key aspect of the position will be to provide strategic support to senior management including but not limited to; preparing presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities and acquisition analysis.
Essential Job Functions:
- Review reports on historical and future trends of the VSG Madison business to determine appropriate paths for further financial development and improvement. Conduct monthly analysis of consolidated results and explain variances to management.
- Consult with key business personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, and problems.
- Lead the FP&A function across VSG Madison and work with the entire global business team and with FP&A counterparts in Europe and Asia.
- Manage the consolidated forecast for NSA including systems, processes and procedures and any input into the Dover Khalix system. Oversee the Adaptive / One-Stream planning system.
- Provide analytical support on all acquisition candidates and special projects including being skilled in the Capital Requisition Process (PI) and the Dover Acquisition model.
- Develop and implement processes and systems to meet quarterly and monthly reporting requirements.
- Lead the Annual Operating Plan process and the Strategic Plan coordination for VSG Madison.
- Perform as the key liaison with the VSG Corporate Director of FP&A.
- Manage (1) direct report – FP&A Analyst
- Perform duties to backup personnel and additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Ability to analyze financial data and clearly and concisely document and communicate the interpretation of the financial analysis
- Ability to interact with all departments outside of Finance and strong team player
- Proficiency in ERP business systems software
- Strong Excel Skills (formulas, pivot tables, graphs), Power Point and Microsoft Office
- Good communication and interpersonal skills relative to initiating communication and interacting with multiple business disciplines to get answers
- A self-starter who works well and obtains results under general supervision
PREFERRED:
- 8+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CMA preferred, not required
- MBA preferred, not required
- Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
