POSITION TITLE:  Scheduling Coordinator

 

SUMMARY: This position will work closely with, and directly report to the Master Scheduler as well as to work collaboratively with our Materials, External Warehouse, Customer Service, and Manufacturing teams to ensure up to date order status information.  The Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for finished goods ordering to support demand forecasts for external warehouses. Other key responsibilities in this role are reporting on inventory availability, due dates, updating of lead times due to product availability and managing and monitoring of make items stock levels and availability for external warehouses.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Monitor outside warehouse orders to ensure product availability and on time shipment.
  • Analyze finished goods inventory availability and make necessary adjustments to the schedule.
  • Update published lead times.
  • Monitor order delays, collaborate with materials team and manufacturing to update appropriate systems with new estimated ship dates.
  • Lead Pending Meetings for order status updates.
  • Be part of the team that researches and responds to order status inquiries.
  • Provide routine reports on inventory availability and ETA of future deliveries.
  • Create reports and provide regularly occurring updates as required.
  • Monitor and manage backorders to ensure they are shipped as soon as they become available.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels for make components needed at MM warehouse to complete orders.
    • Work collaboratively with manufacturing to ensure proper and timely replenishment.
  • Scheduling duties as assigned.
  • Backup for Master Scheduler as needed.
  • Finished goods ordering, tracking and inventory accuracy to support demand and SIOP expectations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•             High School Diploma

•             Proficiency Microsoft applications, especially Excel

•             Working knowledge of manufacturing operations

•             Analytical, decision making ability, problem resolution skills

•             Ability to work at a fast pace in and unstructured work environment with a sense of urgency

•             Self motivated and able to work independently

 

PREFERRED:

  • Associates degree
  • 1+ years’ experience in production/material planning or scheduling
  • ERP experience (AS400, Oracle, etc.)
