Training Content Designer

The Role:

 

The Training Content Designer is responsible for the design, development and adaptation of training materials intended for both internal and external audiences. This world-wide role, reporting into Self-Service Knowledge & Tools Manager based out of the Netherlands, encompasses the full lifecycle of training content, including needs analysis, instructional design, translation, and publication on the Learning Management Systems (LMS).

 

What you will do:

 

  • Instructional Design and Needs Assessment
  • Recommend and design innovative training formats adapted to diverse audiences and learning environments (e-Learning/Remote/F2F)
  • Development of Training Materials
  • Ensure alignment with branding guidelines, pedagogical standards, and accessibility requirements.
  • Coordinate translation and localization processes with internal linguistic resources and/or external service providers - such as ITC.
  • Conduct thorough reviews with regions for translated content to validate terminology, coherence, and instructional integrity.
  • Configure, upload, and maintain e-learning content within the organization’s LMS, ensuring compliance with SCORM standards.
  • Perform systematic testing, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure seamless learner access.
  • Monitor and ensure the continuous accuracy and performance of published content – feedback survey & KPI’s.
  • Occasional training may be required

 

What you need to have:

 

  • Bachelors in Instructional Design, Educational Sciences, Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in instructional design, digital content creation, or a comparable field.
  • Experience in working in a technical environment with industrial technical equipment is desirable.
  • Fluency in English written and spoken, is required.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office 365 Applications suite.
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise 360…)
  • Experience in multimedia design tools (Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Camtasia….)
  • The position requires a rigor, pedagogical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and various stakeholders across the organization globally.
  • Knowledge of translation workflows.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend technical documentation, including product manuals, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to review and understand customer needs and project requirements.
