Location: Home-based within the UK


The Key Account Manager, reporting to Zone Sales Manager, will take responsibility for developing customer intimacy by understanding the customer eco-system and establishing relationships in multiple functions and levels within the customer organization. Working in a matrix with the local sales teams you will bring the Markem-Imaje expertise to help customers improve their brand and efficiency. You will develop or deploy local and global frame agreements and collaboratively drive short- and long-term sales targets

Key to success will be strategically driving the agenda through strong sales planning, building collaborative relationships with both customers and colleagues and supporting and driving the sale of Markem-Imaje hardware and software solutions.


What you’ll do:


  • Working with the Global Key Account team to gain a clear understanding of company and account strategy and implement this within the UK customer base
  • Supporting the global and local sales team’s in establishing sales objectives by account and working alongside them in deploying these initiatives.
  • Establishing quickly where we believe existing and new products can resolve customer pain points and developing plans on how we can deploy in a timely manner using value-based rationale
  •              Actively involved coaching, mentoring and developing the end user sales team to develop “strategic selling skills” allowing us to ensure that at all levels we manage our key accounts in a forward-looking manner
  •             Ensure the implementation and follow up of global and local initiatives via the field sales team
  •             Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.


What you need to have:


  • Ideally degree educated with 5+ years’ experience in a global/ multinational technology-based company with complex B2B interactions (not service industry).
  • Record of consistently strong sales performance
  • Prior experience with long sales cycles (6-18 months).
  • Strong interpersonal skills allied to a numerical dexterity.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization.
  • Ideally experience in a multi-channel sales organization.
  • Prior experience in partnering directly with different client audiences.
  • English as a strong language skill is mandatory.
