Solution Delivery Engineer

This role is an integral part of our service delivery organization, providing on-site project implementation, troubleshooting, training and customer support services for Systech products. You will install, configure, and validate our product functionality and performance against project deliverables. This role will see you travelling on a weekly basis to customers across Europe, ensuring they are set up for success with our Systech solution provided. 

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Provides on-site start-up support for Systech solution software and Systech equipment, in addition to technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair solutions, including electrical testing and optical set up.
  • Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer support, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
  • Implement interfaces with external systems. 
  • Communicates and alerts PM of all exceptions and/or events that might affect project deliverables.  Works efficiently and independently.
  • Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
  • Updates delivered Engineering packages, or provides updated information to the Project Engineer, as needed for “As Built” updates.
  • Validates and makes recommendations to project documentation and project drawings as required.
  • Maintains high quality and on time Field Trip Reports.
  • Provides customer documentation including operator guide and updates to standard solution drawings as required. 
  • Develops and conducts customer training on the safe operation of Systech solutions.
  • The position involves approximately 50% - 75% of travel, on average, and includes domestic and international travel.  This includes multi week trips away from home.  75% to 85% of work involves traveling to customer sites, all involving air travel.
  • Follows all necessary compliance with safety regulations and knowledge of FDA regulations and standards or familiarity with quality standards like ISO9001.
  • Understand Systech service delivery methodology and acts as the first line of customer contact and the owner of customer relationships.
  • Significant coordination with customers and OEM partner companies is required.
  • Follows all necessary compliance and all safety regulations.

 

What you'll need to have:

 

  • Bachelor or comparable degree in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Computer, or Automation)
  • Ideally background in Electronics, including PC and PLC based systems
  • Understanding of service delivery methodology
  • Knowledge in packaging industry automation products is ideal, not but not required.
  • Experience with packaging line equipment, preferably in pharmaceutical and/or food packaging industries ideal, but not required.  
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD, MS Visio, and flow documentation tools.
  • Experience in direct customer interface and ability to work in a multi-tasked environment.
  • Must be fluent in English, multi-lingual is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels for the organization
  • Proven track record of installing solutions across multiple sites and or countries.
  • Experience with .NET architecture, MS SQL Databases and ODBC, TCP/IP
  • Knowledge of Crystal or SQL Reports
