Applications Development Manager

Job Summary:  The ideal candidate will be the Subject Matter Expert, in addition to having a strong sales acumen for identifying and developing opportunities.  The ideal candidate will work with our strategic customer locations throughout Europe and the Middle East, with responsibility for global specifications; while also being a technical resource for our Regional Sales Managers. This remote, home based position reports directly to the Business Director – Thermal Management; located in the USA.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new opportunities with targeted strategic customers in Thermal Management.
  • Build strong relationships and networking with strategic customers, influencers and partners.
  • Conduct regular product training and information sessions for targeted strategic customers in Thermal Management.
  • Manage key accounts.
  • Develop strategies for penetration, expansion, and adoption of our products in the Thermal Management network.
  • Be a technical resource and point person with our Regional Sales Managers.
  • Perform VOC and establish customer needs; competitive advantages, and opportunities to position/reposition products to maximize market penetration.
  • Leverage CRM to manage opportunities, application details and large account management.
  • Actively participate in Thermal Management events and trade shows.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related business, science or engineering degree (technical degree preferred)
  • 10+ years in customer facing technical or sales roles.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organizations including specifying engineers, purchasing, and upper management.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage cultural differences and diverse communication styles in Europe and the Middle East.
  • Professional self-starter who thrives in working in an autonomous environment.
  • Must have strong time management skills
  • A solid sales acumen, with the ability to promote “value.”
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer centric mentality.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal groups and external customers.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Solid negotiating skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain formal programs for large account management.
  • Previous employment at a manufacturer using liquid cooling for electronics.
  • Understanding thermal architecture for electronic systems.
  • Experience with CRM programs.
  • Ability to leverage social media.
