Job Description: Product/Brand Marketing Specialist – Fuel Dispensers & CNG Dispensers
Position Overview
The Product Manager for Fuel and CNG Dispensers is responsible for driving the product strategy, roadmap, performance, and lifecycle management of petroleum retail dispensers and CNG dispensing systems. This role works closely with sales, engineering, service, supply chain, and other stakeholders to ensure the product meets market needs, regulatory requirements, and business growth goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for fuel dispensers and CNG dispensers.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings and emerging technologies (e.g. IoT, payment systems, automation, EV, hydrogen, LNG etc).
- High level knowledge in firmware logics, electronics software & hardware with security enhancements, PKI etc.
- Conduct ethical hacking in Electronics and software/firmware.
- Identify new features, variants, and solutions to enhance product competitiveness.
- Coordinate with global/regional product teams for alignment.
2. Product Development & Engineering Support
- Work with R&D/engineering to define product specifications and feature requirements.
- Drive new product development (NPD), model upgrades, and certification processes.
- In depth knowledge of compliance with Atex, OIML, PESO, MID, W&M, and other regulatory standards.
- Support pilot installations and field trials for new models.
3. Product Lifecycle Management
- Own the complete lifecycle from launch to phase-out.
- Update and manage BOM, configurations, and model variants.
- Improve product reliability, performance, and serviceability through continuous feedback loops.
4. Sales & Customer Support
- Provide technical and commercial product training to channel partners, and customer stakeholders.
- Preparing Technical bid for tenders.
- key account discussions with product positioning.
- Prepare product documentation (brochures, manuals, operation guides, application notes, presentations).
- Initiative for product display and market reach like exhibitions and trade shows.
5. Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Track market share, segment growth, other intelligence, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Conduct VOC (Voice of Customer), site visits, and operator interactions.
- Provide insights for strategic planning and demand forecasting.
- Understand market need and bring new features in market to get upgrade opportunities.
6. Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Production, Quality, and Service teams for product availability and reliability.
- Resolve product issues by coordinating root cause analysis with engineering and service teams.
- Ensure strong collaboration between sales, marketing, and R&D functions.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and vendor development with procurement.
7. Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of petroleum retail equipment, fuel dispensers, CNG dispensers, flowmeters, valves, electronics & IoT systems, retail automation.
- Knowledge of PESO, OIML R117, weights & measures regulations, and CNG system safety.
- Excellent analytical abilities and product sense.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate market needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Data-driven decision making.
- Digital marketing.

9. Qualifications & Experience
- BE/B-Tech in Electronics.
- 8–12 years of experience in fuel retail equipment, CNG equipment, industrial automation, or related domains.
- Experience in product management, engineering.
