Position Summary:

Blue Bite is looking for a Lead product owner. This is a collaborative position; working closely with Product and Engineering Teams to develop and design new functionality for our various SaaS web and server-side applications. This person should possess product thinking, project discipline and excellent communication, collaboration skills.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead other Product Owners, Ux designers to ensure there is a coordinated approach to deliver value.
  • Collaborate with Engineering & Product Managers on resources, scope, prioritization, processes, and deliverables.
  • Responsible for items within team backlog - managing, grooming, and prioritizing with the team; drive sprint goals and participate in scrum events.
  • Translate high level requirements into products and product features. Create work items in stories in backlog.
  • Work closely with engineering and QA to validate that the work item meets acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute towards internal and external roadmap execution, including working directly with internal stakeholders and external customers to understand workflows & product needs.
  • Collaborate and interact cross-functionally with Product Management, Product Engineering, Customer Success and senior management.
  • Be able to provide data driven estimates and metrics.
  • Gather and present project and sprint data to management team
     

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field
  • 5-8 years of experience using Agile methodologies, related to Technical Product Owner role, preferably in SaaS products
  • 2+ years in Ux design direct experience or overseeing responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge and experience in agile development practices methodologies and tools, specifically, Scrum.
  • Hiring, mentoring, coaching other product owners, Ux designers.
  • Direct hands-on experience with writing user stories, refining product backlogs and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
  • Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understating of Agile principles
  • Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner, PMPO, Scrum - preferred
