Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Fabricate/weld automatic car wash equipment parts with metal materials.
• Proficient in assigned welding techniques including metal inert gas (MIG) (GMAW).
• Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
• Use of cutting and heating torch.
• Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.
• Follow safety procedures and performs housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Welding certificate/degree or one-year experience in various forms of welding including MIG.
Desired Characteristics:
• Ability to read blue prints/engineering drawings.
• Ability to make clean weld
• Ability to use/read a tape measure.
• Ability to set wire speed on MIG welder.
• Ability to adjust gas pressure on MIG welder.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
• Successful completion of an internal welding test.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. The employee may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
