Hardware Engineering Manager

The Role 

As Hardware Engineer Manager you will lead, grow and inspire the mechanical and electrical teams to deliver best in class solutions for marking and coding equipment. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the global discipline leadership.

What you will do: 

• Line management of local hardware team of 8 -12 people to include development planning and support to ensure the team reach their full potential
• Collaboration with development office in Bangalore, India on the management and performance of 4-7 remote team members
• Ensuring quality and consistency of technical work across projects
• Working with Project Managers to ensure resource availability and timely delivery of features
• Managing successful development partner relationships, from partner selection to successful technical delivery
• Collaborate with global mechanical and electrical discipline leaders to define and implement globally aligned working practices
• Liaise with teams from other divisions to ensure good team collaboration on interdependent projects
• Support the creation of an innovative and ambitious project roadmap and provide the resource to implement all projects successfully

What you need to have: 

• At least 5 years of professional experience in engineering
• Experience of real time embedded systems and/or electro-mechanical systems a plus
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as manager or leader of a team
• Exposure to Agile methodologies would be beneficial
