Product Marketing Manager

The role:

 

As an experienced and strategic Product Marketing Manager, you are the driving force behind the growth, profitability and success of our Thermal Transfer product lines.

 

In this role your priority will be to develop a deep understanding of our buyers, their problems and how they decide to buy products like ours.  Based on your understanding of our market, you will craft the positioning and messaging for our products. You will play a critical role in product launches and promotions and well as leading our marketing team to develop innovative programs that drive demand throughout the product lifecycle.

 

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and the service organisation, to ensure the promotion and adoption of our industrial printing solutions.

 

You will also have the responsibility as Global discipline leader for product marketing & product management in Markem-Imaje, establishing best practices and a coherent approach across a diverse range of product lines and markets served by teams in different Product Divisions as well as your own.

 

What you will do:

  • Market intelligence—be the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria.
  • Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas.
  • Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.
  • Develop a marketing plan for the products you support in conjunction with our regional marketing teams, including key activities such as digital, event and trade shows to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.  Leverage marketing automation tools to track campaign performance and maximize ROI. 
  • Ensure strategic alignment between our Thermal Transfer products, related services, sales and after-sales service.
  • Work with our Product Managers to define and manage the Thermal transfer product portfolio with a focus on sharing knowledge related to customer applications. Implement product segmentation based on market expectations and trends. 
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy for new product launches, including pricing, messaging, and deployment.
  • Work with our Product Managers and the commercial teams to define and implement a value-based pricing policy consistent with our product positioning across the globe and throughout the product lifecycle. Periodically review the value analysis and competitor positioning to drive margin expansion over the life of the product.
  • Manage and mentor a team of product management, marketing and communication professionals, encouraging collaboration and innovation. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team. Lead the rollout of the formal "Pragmatic" training on product marketing.
  • Develop and implement internal and external communication plans to improve the visibility and reputation of the Thermal Transfer Products. Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing channels.
  • Create and maintain sales product documentation, including brochures, specifications, and case studies.
  • Enable regional sales teams to receive consistent sales training on our product lines, including competitive positioning and key use cases.
  • Work closely with the product development team to ensure customer-centric product innovation.
  • As Global discipline leader for product marketing & product management you will work collaboratively across the global peer group to align on role clarity, global processes, template and tool adoption, leading a regular cadence of check-in’s for this virtual community of practice.

 

What you need to have:

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, business management, or a related field.
  • Significant marketing experience, including experience in a management position in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Experience with marketing of technologies such as advanced industrial systems, cloud, mobile, vision systems in B2B setting
  • Strong understanding of the flexible film packaging, secondary packaging and logistics/distribution sectors, including technologies and applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management systems, digital marketing tools, and data analytics (SAP, Salesforce will be a plus.).
  • Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Personal Suitability: Strategic thinker, process-oriented, collaborative, and able to influence change.
  • Certification in "Pragmatic" Product Marketing or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
