Position Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst is chartered with aligning PSG’s organizational initiatives & objectives with PSG’s Sales team and channel partners by developing and deploying standard commercial planning & selling processes.  This role is responsible for sales reporting and determining sales incentives on an annual and quarterly basis.  It is responsible for working with sales on lead generation and follow up and generating KPI’s for sales and distributors to increase PSG revenue.  In addition to these responsibilities, the role will handle a variety of other support functions for the PSG Global Sales and Marketing team such as Salesforce.com, aftermarket initiatives, and other digital marketing activities.

 

The Senior Business Analyst will be part of the sales organization, supporting the Industrial Business Unit, the Biotechnology and Health Solutions Business Unit, and Asia. This person will be accountable for driving PSG reporting, process optimization along with other related sales operations and marketing activities.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Optimize processes such as account planning/prioritization, monthly sales reporting, sales pipeline reporting, and forecasting - develop and deploy tools to drive improved metrics and accountability within PSG commercial team and external channel partners.
  • Monthly reporting and maintenance of sales database such as, developing and updating reports for sales teams, territory alignment, adding and removing users and database training for the sales team.
  • Own Salesforce.com administration and training for Sales organization.  Partner with IT to implement Salesforce.com across PSG (ie. sales, service, etc). 
  • Annual development of sales targets/goals.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and prompt sales forecast submissions; including annual operating plans.
  • Support Digital Marketing Managers with the distributor portal activities such as managing customer and sales contact information, user access and developing dashboard data analysis.
  • Support Sales organization on aftermarket sales initiatives including data analysis and developing marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct research and customer/distributor analytics by product and/or market to identify opportunities to increase market share.
  • Management and implementation of new customer process and contracts.
  • Monitor and reviews monthly expense reports for the commercial team.
  • Manage distributor Co-op program.
  • Additional tasks as required.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline, business administration or related.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to recommend improvements.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (up to 10%).
  • Prior experience in industrial products sold through distribution.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a sales operation, sales or marketing role.
  • 5+ Years Demonstrated experience in execution of Improvement Initiatives with measurable results.
  • Market or business analyst experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US, any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
