Responsible for the following:

The Quality Documentation Assistant is responsible for ensuring that documentation is correct in a timely manner and that operators are utilizing the correct tools as designed in order to produce a quality product.  The Document Assistant is also responsible for releasing and controlling documents and records.

  • Serves as the Quality Assistant for the Quality Department
  • Performs calibration process (Order new gages if necessary, run monthly reports on gages, send out all master gages for calibration, and scan all documentation)
  • Responsible for clerical tasks requiring application of varied work methods and procedures to assist in ensuring compliance with the quality system
  • Responsible for office clerical tasks such as filing, recording, maintaining records, copying, posting and other similar duties in support of the quality function
  • Controls and releases procedures and forms through the DCR process
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
  • Proficient with software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment with strong organizational skills as well as excellent attention to detail


Education and Experience:


  • 2-year degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of experience in Quality Control Documentation preferred


Mental/Visual/Physical Effort:


  • Sitting, Walking Reaching and Bending

  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The duties of this position require the employee to work in both office and manufacturing floor environments. 
  • May be exposed to typical manufacturing noises (grinders, forklift operation, compressed air circulation, and electric and pneumatic tool operation). 
  • The facility is climate controlled but may occasionally reach above-average temperatures.
  •  The employee is required to wear all Personal Protection Equipment when entering the production facility.
