Position Summary:

The Technical Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing key client relationships while providing technical sales support. They understand clients’ needs, demonstrate product features, and design tailored solutions. Driving revenue growth within existing accounts, they serve as a trusted advisor, offering technical guidance and ensuring customer satisfaction. With a focus on strategic planning and effective communication, they contribute to the company’s growth objectives. The role will report to the Director, Sales FW Murphy Production Controls and will be based in the Permian Basin.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all business and technical inquiries.

  • Understand clients’ business objectives, challenges, and priorities, and align our products and services to meet their needs.

  • Acting as product advisor and solutioning efforts, create upselling and cross selling opportunities to expand our product footprint within existing accounts.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of customized solutions and services that address clients’ technical requirements and business objectives.

  • Provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales process, from initial lead qualification to product demonstration and solution design.

  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase features, functionalities, and benefits of our products and services to clients.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations on how they can leverage our technology to achieve their goals.

  • Drive revenue growth within assigned accounts through proactive account management, strategic planning, and effective sales strategies.

  • Provide effective and regular sales achievements, opportunity updates to Senior Management through accurate tracking..

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and expand our client base.

  • Serve as a technical escalation point for clients, resolving complex technical issues and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely resolution.

  • Provide guidance and training to clients on the use and implementation of our products and services, helping them maximize the value of their investment.

 

Minimum required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering discipline (mechanical or electrical) is a plus.

  • BSEET degree, with electrical background is a plus.

  • 2+ years of field experience, preferably in trouble shooting instrumentation and control systems for the natural gas compression industry.

  • Experience in a client-facing role, preferably in a B2B environment within the natural gas compression industry.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a track record of exceeding sales goals and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to travel extensively (50%)
