Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the assessment of market potential in Japan, and building commercial and value creation strategies with the APAC leadership team.
  • Lead, develop and deliver business development opportunities according to the strategic plans to enable rapid revenue growth in Japan.
  • Develop and manage sales pipeline in the industries covered, drive to win sales opportunities and increase hit rate by cooperating with the regional and global teams to achieve business goals.
  • Enhance good business relation with the existing & prospective customers and/or channel partners by providing them with ample support to achieve win-win results.
  • Search and develop new channels to address uncovered business and geographical areas to enhance Hydro market share in Japan.
  • Analyze competition and alternative technology in the business and develop competitive strategies to grow Hydro products.
  • Identify sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity and refer to appropriate contacts within the organization so that they can respond to changing market conditions and meet customer demands.
  • Maintains a focused business perspective by monitoring and staying current on regulatory, technological, economic, competitor, channel, and application trends as these relate to the assigned territory to ensure that new business opportunities captured, and existing business maintained.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with staff in all functions and areas of the business throughout PSG, to support the business growth in Japan market.
  • Performs other duties as necessary, discussed, agreed, and assigned.



  • At least 5 years proven sales of value added (premium) products, preferably industrial/technical products in the chemical cleaning industry, janitorial/sanitation, laundry, food service, preferred.
  • Strong business development experience – identifying targets, creating prospects, and turning them into customers and maintaining long term relationships, able to create value for customers addressing both known and unknown needs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, in both English writing and speaking
  • Hardworking, honest, ethical, competitive, and committed.
  • Willing to travel 30-40%.
