The Material Handler position will be responsible for ensuring that the correct materials are pulled and issued to the correct job orders and delivered to the correct machine. The Material Handler will also be responsible for moving partially finished or finished products physically and making inventory move transactions in the Syteline ERP system under given direction and guidelines. Candidate will be responsible for issuing material to the jobs, returning material from the jobs, conducting cycle counting, ensuring inventory location accuracy, putting up material in the correct inventory locations, overall inventory accuracy and other assigned transactional duties. In addition, candidate will be performing the following duties.




  • Unloading, moving and storing materials.
  • Maintaining inventory and inventory locations.
  • Utilizing manual lifts, reach trucks and transfer equipment (requires applicable safety and operational training).
  • Identifying and verifying parts.
  • Laser etching rings per the drawing/ print.
  • Reporting inventory issues, cycle count findings and root cause.
  • Confirm items to be shipped for accuracy against order
  • Prepare orders and proper shipping documents and labels
  • Participate in company Lean 5S initiatives.
  • Participate in annual physical inventory.
  • Must be willing to accept and perform work assignments not directly related to the material handler position.




Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma is required, and at least two years in a warehouse or industrial environment is preferred.
  • Required to operate a forklift. Candidate should have proper OSHA training and valid state licenses.
  • Candidates must be in good physical condition and be able to remain on their feet for an extended period of time.
  • An ability to use machines and software to track inventory along with good organizational and time management skills are critical.
  • Must be able to process and follow written and spoken instructions.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Be highly motivated and a “Team” player.
  • Possess good organizational and communication skills.
  • General knowledge of shipping/receiving is helpful but not required.


Mental / Visual / Physical Effort:


  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds routinely.
  • Have strength and stamina to be on your feet and lift packages throughout the day.
