Summary:

 

Under the direction of Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Supervisor and Supply Chain Manager, Material Handler is responsible for moving partially finished, or finished products physically and making inventory move transactions in the Syteline ERP system under given direction and guidelines. Candidate will be responsible for issuing material to the jobs, conducting cycle counting, ensuring inventory location accuracy, overall inventory accuracy and other assigned transactional duties. In addition, candidate will be performing the following duties.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Unloading, moving and storing materials
  • Utilizing manual lifts, reach trucks and transfer equipment (requires applicable safety and operational training)
  • Storing and stacking materials according to company standards
  • Identifying and verifying parts
  • Reporting inventory issues, cycle count findings and root cause.

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Required to operate a forklift. Candidate should have proper OSHA training and valid state licenses.
  • Candidates must be in good physical condition and be able to remain on their feet for an extended period of time.
  • An ability to use machines and software to track inventory along with good organizational and time management skills are critical.
  • Material handlers must be able to process and follow written and spoken instructions.
  • A high school diploma is required, and at least two years in a warehouse or related environment is preferred.

 

 

 

 

Mental / Visual / Physical Effort:

 

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds routinely
  • Have strength and stamina to be on your feet and lift packages throughout the day
