Sales Engineer- Rotating Machinery

Dover Precision Components is hiring a Sales Engineer for our BearingsPlus brand. We deliver bearing and seal expertise for rotating machinery throughout the oil & gas, power generation and industrial markets, helping to keep critical applications running. Our application knowledge includes compressors, blowers, fans, turbines, expanders, pumps, motors, generators, and pumps.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This position is primarily responsible for managing both direct customers and the distribution channel within an assigned territory to achieve sales and revenue goals. In this role, you will:

• Design and recommend sales programs, setting short- and long-term sales strategies.
• Evaluate and implement appropriate new sales techniques to increase sales volume. 
• Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
• Conduct training and educational programs with customers, distributors, and representatives. 
• Call on distributors and manufacturing representatives.
• Trouble-shoot customer issues and provide recommendations for solutions.
• Prepare and present weekly call reports explaining, in detail, the contacts made that week using online reporting program.     

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in outside industrial sales with preference of related industry and client base.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment. 
• Ability to travel 4 days per week while located in territory- Houston area. 
• Excellent communication, sales, training, and influencing skills.
• Strong technology and problem- solving skills.
