Job Title: Non-Mechanical Field Technician
Location: Phoenix, AZ - Remote
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Non-Mechanical Field Technician that will work in diverse settings within the construction industry and will produce steady, functional infrastructure and products. Beginning-to-end installation of primary carpentry projects that have specific deliverables, focuses, timelines, and quality performance objectives. We are looking for this individual to bring knowledge of commercial construction and an understanding of electrical and/or refrigeration would be a plus!
What you’ll be responsible for in this role:
- Understand the scope of the project and assist with the creation of PEP (project execution plan) to ensure successful project completion
- Read blueprints and ensure the work performed is up to code and specifications/standards
- Measure and calculate the amount of materials needed as well as the selection of materials, i.e., wood, plastic, and drywall
- Construct partitions and structures such as walls, frames, cabinets, molding, etc.
- Review the schedule with the supervisor and others that will be affected by project activity, revise the schedule as needed
- Maintain schedule timelines, track/submit job-related documents and expenses
- Understand the importance of the organization’s reputation and accepting ownership of new/different requests that had value to job completion
What are the basic qualifications?
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of rough-to-finish carpentry and/or construction experience
What are the preferred qualifications?
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
- Ability to stand, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects
- Understand and operate tools, machines, and other equipment
- Ability to understand ethical behavior and business practices to align with the values of the organization
- Technical construction education program desired
- Basic electrical and refrigeration experience is a plus
- OSHA 30 certification is preferred

- Ability to travel up to 80% and adapt as needed, projects change frequently
- Communicate professionally to personnel in the organization as well as third parties
- Fluent communication (reading, writing & speaking) in the English language, Spanish speaking is a plus
- Self-starter this is able to set goals and resolve problems
- Understand and follow safety protocols
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
