HR Business Partner - Systech

As the HR Business Partner for Systech, a solutions division of Markem-Imaje, you will be responsible for driving programs and processes needed to support the strategy and growth of the business through its people. The position serves as a trusted advisor to division management on human resource-related issues. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent. As a member of the North America Human Resources team, you will partner with the HR function and business to develop and deliver integrated solutions including but not limited to employee relations, talent acquisition, talent and performance management and other critical HR activities on a day to day basis.

 

LOCATION: Princeton, New Jersey

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with management on workforce planning, including development of staffing needs and job descriptions, coordination of and active participation in the recruitment process
  • Lead complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations
  • Counsel Managers on performance management practices to maintain a positive and productive working environment. Meet with managers to mediate specific occurrences and on-going employee issues. Approves documentation relating to Performance Improvement Plans process and maintains close counsel with related managers
  • Monitor turnover rates and identify related issues. Assist with developing retention action plans, with a focus on key talent, by working with functional management and HR
  • Partner with leadership team to implement effective strategies to enable meaningful change
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and suggest ideas for improvement
  • Support HR and local leadership in action planning related to employee engagement
  • Provides feedback to identify, evaluate, and improve HR programs
  • Understand the business and talent priorities by driving business results through systemic organizational and talent strategies that are aligned to the business strategy

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business and/or human resource concentration
  • 5 years of Human Resources generalist experience, preferably in a software/Information Technology environment
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of Human Resources areas including Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Compensation, Talent Management and Change Management
  • Experience with conducting workplace investigations and resolving workplace issues
  • Able to align policies and practices with federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • Ability to build credibility and confidence with a wide variety of leaders as a trusted adviser
  • Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and competence in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions
  • Demonstrated customer focus, judgment, analytical skills, critical thinking and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal) required
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working effectively in a complex, highly matrixed environment
  • Results-oriented with strong bias for action; ability to work independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software
  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification desired
