Product Marketing’s primary role is to bind the product strategy to the tactical duties responsible for driving successful results in sales and marketing.  As product evangelist, Product Marketing will play a critical role in product launches. Product Marketing must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, creativity, and the drive to make that vision a reality.  Product Marketing reports to the Director of Product Lifecycle Management.
Product Marketing will translate company vision into executable strategy and campaigns.  They collaborate closely with Product Managers to translate technical roadmaps into product positioning and value prop.
Product Marketing will work closely with Marketing to craft compelling messaging and develop marketing strategies.  Understanding of competitive landscape, regulatory and industry trends, current customers, and target markets are critical for Product Marketing to develop marketing plans in conjunction with Marketing to support the product portfolio.  Product Marketing with work directly with the commercial organization to identify key markets, go-to-market strategy, as well as support key go-to-market campaigns and initiatives.  Product Marketing will work closely with Sales and Marketing to generate financial modeling to develop pricing and projections for the product portfolio.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
•    Develop and implement product strategies consistent with the company vision and values.
•    Plan and drive product launch deliverables to support sales, marketing, and go-to-market.
•    Develop marketing plans for the product portfolio in conjunction with Marketing and Category Management.
•    Collaborate with marketing to create meaningful product messaging and to produce product data sheets, white papers, battlecards, and other collateral. 
•    Develop product portfolio pricing and discount ranges for global markets.
•    Contribute highly to thought leadership through industry and marketing events through public speaking and content.
•    Collaborate with Marketing to perform competitive research of functions, market share, business structure, pricing, market timing considerations, and relevant industry standards.
•    Provide in-depth product and competitive analyses for use in both product strategy and sales / marketing positioning.
•    Collaborate with sales channels, provide enablement and training.
•    Support quarterly business reviews with executive management.
•    Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to formulate and revise strategies.
•    Support customer advisory board sessions for content and strategy.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:   
•    Experience with product marketing and market-facing activities.
•    Superior communicator who is a strong, out-going leader and builder of consensus.
•    Experience with marketing of technologies such as cloud, mobile, vision systems.
•    Experience with CRM tools.
•    Experience with Agile methodology.
•    A keen eye for detail and creativity.
•    A persuasive writer, capable of defining a product’s vision and market requirements. (art of the could be)
•    Experience managing quarterly business reviews.
•    Ability to make decisions to deliver the greatest value.
•    Experience in relationship management.
•    Ability to communicate to executive management as well as at a technical level to engineering resources.
•    Experience with brand protection and pharmaceutical and consumer goods serialization.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing or higher
•    5+ years of product marketing

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:  
•    Must have working knowledge and experience using e-mail, Internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
•    Networking tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, ect.
