SUMMARY:
As a part of the Dover Precision Components IT team, install, configure, and maintain personal computer (PC) systems and related technology. Provide deskside support for the Rock Island and Pewaukee, Wisconsin offices. This includes software and hardware support. Resolving issues for employees in a timely manner while conforming to SLA guidelines. Provide assistance in maintaining networking and telecommunications. This position will have a focus on building images for computers as well as deploying these images to different facilities using WDS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work under the direction of senior staff to troubleshoot complex issues within various software packages
  • Interface with third-party help desk provider and serve as point of escalation for tier 2/3 support
  • Deploy computers, peripherals, smartphones, and VOIP phones
  • Configure network access for PCs and printers
  • Maintain computer related equipment in office and shop locations
  • Perform upgrades, maintenance and repair of IT equipment.
  • Diagnose operational problems and take corrective action as necessary. Arrange for third party repairs or maintenance where appropriate
  • Install software and upgrades and assist employees as required in their use
  • Troubleshoot and maintain ERP system (Infor SyteLine, Qlikview, PaceJet)
  • Create standard work instructions for common processes or issues
  • Work with IT personnel at other locations throughout the corporation to provide user support at those locations as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Two years of experience in the support and maintenance of personal computers and related equipment.
  • Preferred experience with building and deploying computers utilizing WDS
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience offering remote support via phone, e-mail, and remote support tools
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Servers and Windows Active Directory
  • Strong ability to analyze hardware and software problems and develop technical solutions.
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining ERP systems
  • Understanding of application interdependencies and best practices
