POSITION: Maintenance Level 5 – Mid Day Shift

  1. SUMMARY:

Constructs, maintains and tests mechanical equipment, machinery and components. Identifies parts for replacement and machines that need new parts and places orders as necessary.

 

  1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures while actively participating to create a Zero Harm culture at work and at home
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Communicate with Plant Manager, Supervisors, and Team Leads to prioritize work
  • Self-directed and motivated to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Positive approach to changing work requirements and the ability to move from one task to another based on the needs of the business
  • Perform all tasks of Maintenance Level 2, 3 and 4
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment, machine tools, and CNC machines
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical  trouble shooting and repair
  • Maintain and repair various machines including manual lathes and mills
  • Understanding of Fanuc controls and ability to troubleshoot and repair various CNC machine tools
  • Fabrication using welding and machining
  • Assist in machine install and relocation
  • Assist in plant improvement projects
  • Interact with a wide variety of people within the organization to understand needs and help to complete a variety of tasks
  • Interact with outside vendors for quotes, parts, and scheduling service
  • Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills with limited available information
  • Working as a team
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

  1. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:   

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities

 

  1. QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Basic computer skills

  1. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with experience in industrial manufacturing.  Welding experience and mechanical repair experience required.  Minimum of 5 years experience with repair and maintenance of CNC machine tools with focus on Fanuc controls.

 

  1. LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

  1. REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
